Have More Lucid Dreams With Prospective Memory
This is a very simple concept but important enough to write a few words about. Improving lucid dreams through improving prospective memory.
Prospective memory is essentially remembering to remember a planned future action or intention. Or just remembering to remember. Improving prospective memory is important for remembering to remember dreams, do reality checks, be metacognitive, and be aware etc. which will all eventually cross-over into your dreams.
There is basically one thing you can do to improve prospective memory: Actually use prospective memory. Practice remembering on your own. Stop using all types of external reminders.
For example: try to stop using alarms, notes, people, calendars, or whatever you may use to remind you of things. To develop prospective memory you simply must use it more.
If you have a poor memory, try using mnemonics and other memory techniques to improve prospective memory. Some of these techniques are natural and quite simple. For example, every time you step through a door or see a lucid dreaming totem, remind yourself to do a reality check. You can also use your lucid dreaming ring or tattoo to remind you to do a reality check, etc.
Memory techniques can get much more in depth and detailed so do your research if you have very poor memory. If you need to, don't get rid of all your reminders at the same time, just get rid of them one at a time until you sharpen your memory.
Improving prospective memory can lead you into mastery, so do it, and continue Livin' Lucid Dreams...
